Rebecca Ray, LMFT-S, CSAT, CMAT, CCPS, EMDR, SEP
Welcome! I’m Rebecca Ray (a.k.a. Rivkah Leah) (she, her, hers), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S) (TX Lic. #203666), (CO Lic. #0002293), and (MO Lic. #20220500059) Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist—Love Addiction (CMAT), Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS), EMDR Certified Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), AAMFT Approved Supervisor, AAMFT Clinical Fellow, and the owner of Ray Family Therapy in Houston, Texas.
I am an out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida. The Florida telehealth provider registration number for Rebecca Ray is TPMF680. I am also licensed in Texas, Colorado and Missouri. I offer in-person or online sessions in Texas and work exclusively online in Florida, Missouri, and Colorado.
I constantly have my nose in a book, research article, or am engaged in advanced trainings to help you! I’m here so you can ditch the shame and perfectionism. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, and help people reduce or resolve anxiety, anger, depression, and PTSD. I have specialized training to treat sex addiction and betrayal trauma. I love working with couples and absolutely love Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am serious about helping couples reignite passion, sexual intimacy, and equality in their relationship.
I provide clinical supervision to graduate students and LMFT-Associates, and I also regularly provide trainings to clinicians.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and am an avid runner. I run very far on purpose. Snacks, dirt, emotional processing at mile 22—I love running marathons and ultra marathons. You’ll find me doing strength workouts at the gym, teaching indoor cycling classes—Yes, I’m a Certified Les Mills The Trip instructor. I teach four classes per week, and wake super early in the morning to exercise. I love both of my jobs—being a therapist and helping others stay physically fit through cycling—pinch me, I’m living my dream life!
Oh, and my hair is falling out, I don’t know, some sort of autoimmune alopecia, and I decided to just shave my head. I am married and have three kids ranging in ages 11-20, so I understand the stress and demands on modern families. My partner is a retired Army Veteran, and I am keenly aware of the unique stress put upon our Service Members and their families. I, too found myself sitting on the back burner while feeling shame for being adopted and confused about my place in the world. I am also personally all too familiar with the grief surrounding miscarriage and perinatal loss. I am here to walk with you on a journey of healing and growth, and will provide encouragement and support along the way.
